July 1, 2008 Updating an earlier report, third round selection DT Marcus Harrison agreed to a contract with the Bears, according to the Bears Official Website. “He’s got some talent and some ability and some strength,” said defensive line coach Brick Haley. “There are a lot of things that we like about him.”
Our View:Harrison would likely have been selected before the third round if there weren't so many questions about his character and durability (he has already come back from a torn ACL).
July 1, 2008 Chicago Bears third-round pick Marcus Harrison, out of Arkansas is close to signing a four-year deal, reports the Chicago Tribune. The paper says Harrison had first-round potential, but slipped because of injury and character issues.
Our View:The Bears obviously like Harrison, and should he live up to his billing, he'll have a chance to see a good amount of action in the team's defensive line rotation.
