"It's just a question of whether we think it's been enough." While Madison has taken steps in the right direction, he'll be a game-time call on Sunday.

Sam Madison practiced on Wednesday and hopes to play in Sunday's opener against the Cowboys. He has been dealing with a sore left hamstring. “If it was my decision, you know how I love to play,” Madison tells the team's official web site. "Am I 100 percent right now? I don’t know. I can’t say because I haven’t opened it up 100 percent yet because I don’t have to right now." Corey Webster will start if Madison is out.

Sam Madison is in jeopardy of missing the season opener on September 9. He strained his right hamstring on Sunday night and could be out longer than two weeks. “Any time you have one of these injuries and you’re up in the air as you close in on the regular season it certainly is a concern,” head coach Tom Coughlin tells the New York Post. “Hopefully the timetable will put him right into game week ready to go." Corey Webster will likely start while Madison is out.
