Tedy Bruschi was limited to only 11 of 50 defensive plays in last Sunday's win over San Francisco due to the use of several sub packages, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:The Patriots played five different packages: the base 3-4, a 3-3-5 nickel, a 4-2-5 nickel, a 1-4-6 dime, and a 2-4-6 dime, and had assigned specific players to each package. While Bruschi was limited, he still racked up 27 tackles (nine solo) this season, and should remain on rosters in IDP leagues.

Our View:Bruschi should be fine, especially with a bye in Week 4. He is off to a solid start with 24 tackles (seven solo) over the first three games of the season.

"It gives a degree of equity to the defense," Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said. "You're still going to have to be prepared to signal in calls. It might enable some young players do more, earlier. We have had to play a lot of young linebackers. It will help young players be a more integral part of the defense (because they can be instructed from sideline)." Each offensive and defensive team is now permitted to have one player on the field with a speaker in his helmet.
