Travis LaBoy, DE Friday 11/21, 2:13 PM CT
The Arizona Republic reports that Travis LaBoy (ankle)took part in Friday's practice after missing Thursday's workout.

Our View: It appears he is ready to go this week. The defensive end has four sacks this season.
Roderick Hood, CB Friday 11/21, 2:11 PM CT
The Arizona Republic reports that starting cornerback Roderick Hood will be questionable for Sunday's game after missing practice this week due to a death in the family.

Our View: Hood also is dealing with a rib injury that likely would have made him questionable this week. It's doubtful he will start, said coach Ken Whisenhunt, but if Hood is physically able to play, the Cardinals would like to have him available. Eric Green will start in his place.
Travis LaBoy, DE Thursday 11/20, 7:03 PM CT
Travis LaBoy did not practice for the Cardinals on Thursday due to an ankle malady, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: LaBoy's status for the team's game against the Cowboys on Sunday is not yet known.
Roderick Hood, CB Thursday 11/20, 5:13 PM CT
Cardinals cornerback Roderick Hood did not practice with the team, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Hood is away dealing with a death in his family. His status for the team's game against the Giants is not yet known.
Edgerrin James, RB Thursday 11/20, 11:34 AM CT
The Cardinals denied Edgerrin James' request to be released, according to John Clayton of ESPN. His agent (Drew Rosenhaus) said, "We spoke with GM Rod Graves because Edgerrin still believes he is a 1,000-yard back and he is healthy and he is still capable of being a 1,000-yard back for a team. He is not playing now, and there are teams that are banged up at the running back position that he could help. We didn't get the answer we were hoping for."

Our View: James holds little fantasy value right now while stuck behind rookie Tim Hightower on the depth chart.
Darnell Dockett, DT Wednesday 11/19, 5:58 PM CT
Darnell Dockett was limited in Wednesday's practice, according to the Giants' official site.

Our View: Dockett doesn't have much fantasy value, with just three sacks this season.
Clark Haggans, LB Wednesday 11/19, 5:54 PM CT
Clark Haggans did not practice on Wednesday, according to the Giants' official site.

Our View: Haggans doesn't have any real value in IDP leagues.
Edgerrin James, RB Wednesday 11/19, 3:26 PM CT
Edgerrin James reportedly asked the Cardinals to release him after being unseated from the starting job at running back by rookie Tim Hightower, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View: If he had been released, he could have been claimed on waivers by a team like the Bengals or Broncos. He will make $5 million with the Cardinals in 2009, the final year of his contract.
Adrian Wilson, S Tuesday 11/18, 11:48 AM CT
Adrian Wilson's hit on Matt Hasselbeck in Week 11 was deemed legal and Wilson will not be fined or suspended, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: There was belief he issued a helmet-to-helmet hit, but no flag was thrown on the play. Feel free to employ Wilson in IDP leagues in Week 12 against the Giants.
Adrian Wilson, S Sunday 11/16, 11:26 PM CT
Adrian Wilson could be facing a suspension for a high hit on Matt Hasselbeck Sunday, according to the East Valley Tribune. Wilson has been warned by the league about a possible suspension if he's the subject of any more discipline by the NFL.

Our View: We'll let you know what the league does about Wilson.
J.J. Arrington, RB Sunday 11/16, 6:24 PM CT
J.J. Arrington was the Arizona running back that you wanted to own Sunday, as he ran for 40 yards and a touchdown on eight carries while adding 21 yards and another TD on three receptions.

Our View: Tim Hightower had three more carries but five fewer yards, while Edgerrin James continued to be a non-factor, carrying the ball one time for one yard.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR Sunday 11/16, 6:22 PM CT
Larry Fitzgerald caught 10 passes for 151 yards Sunday in the 26-20 win over the Seahawks.

Our View: This was a season high in catches for Fitz. He and his partner in crime, Anquan Boldin, combined for 23 catches for 337 yards on the day.
Anquan Boldin, WR Sunday 11/16, 6:20 PM CT
Anquan Boldin continued his fantastic season Sunday, catching 13 passes for 186 yards in the win over the Seahawks.

Our View: Boldin has 791 yards and 10 scores on the year despite missing a pair of games. This was the first time since Week 1 that he failed to find the end zone.
Kurt Warner, QB Sunday 11/16, 6:18 PM CT
Kurt Warner had another nice outing Sunday, throwing for 395 yards and a touchdown with one interception in the Cardinals' win over Seattle.

Our View: The MVP candidate is averaging 362 passing yards per game over the last four times out. However, this was actually the first time since Week 1 that he failed to throw multiple TD passes.
Roderick Hood, CB Sunday 11/16, 4:17 PM CT
Cornerback Roderick Hood was injured during the first half of the Week 11 game against the Seahawks. Ralph Brown took his place.

Our View: Hood came into the week with a rib injury, and we're not sure of the details on his latest ailment. We'll update his status when more is known.
Clark Haggans, LB Sunday 11/16, 4:10 PM CT
Linebacker Clark Haggans went to the locker room late in the second quarter of the Week 11 game against the Seahawks. He was walking under his own power.

Our View: The Cardinals offense was on the field, and Haggans may have just headed in early to get an ankle re-tapped or something similarly unremarkable.
Brian St. Pierre, QB Sunday 11/16, 2:08 PM CT
Week 11 inactives: QB Brian St. Pierre (3rd), WR Early Doucet, TE Ben Patrick, TE Jerame Tuman, DE Kenny Iweema, DT Alan Branch, OT Brandon Keith, OT Elliot Vallejo.

Our View: Leonard Pope is active and should see plenty of action with Patrick and Tuman out. Tackle Mike Gandy and cornerback Rod Hood are also active.
Leonard Pope, TE Saturday 11/15, 1:22 PM CT
Leonard Pope is probable for Sunday's game at Seattle, according to the East Valley Tribune. He has been dealing with an ankle injury but was able to practice Friday.

Our View: Pope is the Cardinals' starting tight end, but has been a non-factor in the passing game with only five receptions for 36 yards over seven games. He has a favorable match-up against the Seahawks' 31st ranked pass defense, but is not a recommended fantasy option.
Roderick Hood, CB Saturday 11/15, 1:17 PM CT
Roderick Hood is questionable for Sunday's game at Seattle due to his rib injury, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View: Hood holds little fantasy value for IDP leagues, but is a solid NFL cornerback, and Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks' passing attack would benefit if he is unable to play.
Leonard Pope, TE Wednesday 11/12, 9:49 AM CT
Coach Ken Whisenhunt stated that the club needs to get more production at tight end, according to the East Valley Tribune. Whisenhunt said, "Hopefully, we can find one that will play a little better. We’ll have to make a decision on who we’re going to go with and stick with that."

Our View: Leonard Pope is the acting starter, but has only caught five passes for 36 yards and is yet to score a touchdown, despite playing in one of the NFL's best passing attacks. He could be demoted if another tight end emerges, such as Ben Patrick.
Tim Hightower, RB Monday 11/10, 11:40 PM CT
In his second game as the No. 1 running back, Tim Hightower was held to just 22 yards on 13 carries as the Cardinals defeated the 49ers 29-24 on Monday night. He also had six catches for 28 yards.

Our View: Hightower, who has seven touchdowns this season, was kept out of the end zone and aside from PPR leagues, he was a fantasy let down on MNF.
Steve Breaston, WR Monday 11/10, 11:24 PM CT
Despite being a third receiver on Arizona, Steve Breaston is putting up good production in the desert. On Monday night, he compiled 121 yards on seven catches.

Our View: Opposing defenses have to put a lot of attention on Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. Breaston has taken advantage of it, and is on pace for a 1,000 yard season.
Kurt Warner, QB Monday 11/10, 11:14 PM CT
Kurt Warner continued his exceptional season on Monday night as he led the Cardinals to a come-from-behind victory over San Francisco. He was 32-for-42 with 328 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Our View: Warner now has 19 touchdowns and just six interceptions in nine games and has been one the best players in all of fantasy football.
Anquan Boldin, WR Monday 11/10, 11:11 PM CT
Anquan Boldin picked up two more touchdowns on Monday night as the Cardinals held on to beat the 49ers 29-24. He had seven catches for 92 yards and also carried the ball three times for 19 yards.

Our View: Despite missing two games earlier this season, Boldin leads all receivers with 10 touchdowns. He is adding another great season to a fantastic career.
Eric Green, CB Monday 11/10, 6:35 PM CT
Early Doucet, Brian St. Pierre, Eric Green, Elliot Vallejo, Brandon Keith, Alan Branch, Jerame Tuman, and Ben Patrick are inactive for Arizona for Monday Night Football.

Our View: Eric Green has a sore knee but it appears he has lost his starting job for good to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
Eric Green, CB Saturday 11/8, 11:07 PM CT
Cornerback Eric Green did not practice on Saturday due to a sore knee, according to the East Valley Tribune. He is a game-time decision for Monday.

Our View: Green is the usual starter for the Cardinals, but he is not a premeier player in the secondary. He has little to no fantasy value at this point.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR Friday 11/7, 3:40 PM CT
Larry Fitzgerald fully practiced Friday after being limited by his thumb injury Thursday, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: He is no longer on the injury report, and should be employed in fantasy lineups against the 49ers' 19th ranked pass defense.
Kurt Warner, QB Friday 11/7, 12:43 PM CT
Kurt Warner was named the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week after lighting up the Rams with 342 passing yards and two scores, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Warner has impressively thrown at least two touchdown passes in seven straight games, topping 300 yards four times over the span. He should remain active in fantasy lineups in Week 10 with a favorable match-up against the 49ers.
Eric Green, CB Friday 11/7, 10:22 AM CT
Eric Green missed most of Thursday's practice while nursing his sore knee, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View: Green cannot afford to miss practice time, as rookie Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is pushing him for his starting spot at cornerback. Either way, Green holds no value for IDP leagues.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR Thursday 11/6, 4:50 PM CT
Larry Fitzgerald was limited in Thursday's practice due to a thumb injury, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: We'll keep you posted on Fitzgerald's status for Monday. The extra day should give him a better chance at playing.
Leonard Pope, TE Thursday 11/6, 4:46 PM CT
Leonard Pope missed practice again on Thursday, according to the Arizona Republic. Pope is not expected to play in Week 10 for the Cardinals.

Our View: Pope is unowned in virtually all leagues, and should stay that way as he's expected to miss this week. If he's somehow still on your roster, drop him.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB Wednesday 11/5, 8:49 PM CT
Coach Ken Whisenhunt on Wednesday said that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is pressing starter Eric Green for playing time, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View: Rodgers-Cromartie has been a solid addition to the first place Cardinals in 2008. The rookie has recorded 14 tackles and no interceptions.
Leonard Pope, TE Wednesday 11/5, 6:37 PM CT
Cardinals tight end Leonard Pope did not participate in practice on Wednesday with an injured ankle, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Pope has missed the Cardinals last two games and the team is trying to get him ready for a Monday night football match-up against the 49ers.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR Wednesday 11/5, 4:14 PM CT
Receiver Larry Fitzgerald did not participate in Cardinals practice on Wednesday due to a thumb injury, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Fitz did not practice but the team said it was more of a rest issue. There is no worry about him missing any time.
Antrel Rolle, S Tuesday 11/4, 2:16 PM CT
Antrel Rolle has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week, according to the Arizona Republic. He returned an interception 40 yards for a score in Sunday's win over the Rams, to go along with four solo tackles.

Our View: That marked his first interception of the season. He will have a good chance to pick up his second this week in a favorable match-up against Shaun Hill and the 49ers. Hill will be making his first start of the season at quarterback after unseating the erratic J.T. O'Sullivan.
Pago Togafau, LB Tuesday 11/4, 12:26 PM CT
Pago Togafau has been signed by the Cardinals, according to the Cardinals' official website. He was added to provide depth at linebacker, as the team placed Ali Highsmith on IR.

Our View: He will hold no fantasy value for IDP leagues as a backup linebacker.
Ali Highsmith, LB Tuesday 11/4, 12:21 PM CT
Ali Highsmith has been placed on season-ending IR due to his knee injury, according to the Cardinals' official website.

Our View: He held no fantasy value as a reserve linebacker, and worked mainly on special teams.
Tim Hightower, RB Tuesday 11/4, 8:05 AM CT
Tim Hightower broke loose for 109 rushing yards in his first NFL start last weekend against the Rams and coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed that he will remain the starter over Edgerrin James in Week 10 against the 49ers, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: Hightower merits fantasy consideration against the 49ers' 19th ranked run defense. The rookie has already scored seven touchdowns over eight games.
Travis LaBoy, DE Tuesday 11/4, 7:49 AM CT
Coach Ken Whisenhunt is optimistic Travis LaBoy will be ready to return to the gridiron in Week 10 against the 49ers, according to the East Valley Tribune. He is recovering from a groin injury.

Our View: LaBoy is the anchor of the Cardinals' pass rush, as he racked up four sacks and a fumble recovery. He would be worth employing in IDP leagues with a favorable match-up against the 49ers, who have allowed a league worst 34 sacks.
Ali Highsmith, LB Monday 11/3, 2:30 PM CT
Ali Highsmith suffered a knee injury Sunday against the Rams, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: He is slated for an MRI, and early indication is that the injury could be season-ending. He holds no fantasy value as a reserve linebacker.
Mike Gandy, G Monday 11/3, 9:33 AM CT
Mike Gandy sustained an ankle injury in Sunday's game against the Rams, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View: This would be significant if Gandy is forced to miss time, as the solid vet is the Cardinals' starting left tackle. We will keep you posted on his status.
Edgerrin James, RB Monday 11/3, 9:29 AM CT
Edgerrin James is supporting rookie Tim Hightower, who unseated James as the Cardinals' starting running back Sunday against the Rams, according to the East Valley Tribune. James did not have a carry in the game and said, "It’s been brewing for a while. I’m not surprised. I’m happy for Tim. I expected him to have a big day. We knew we should have a big day running the ball regardless of who was in there."

Our View: James is only averaging 3.5 yards per carry this season, with only one 100-yard performance. Hightower looks to be the best option for the Cardinals right now, and is worth scooping up if still available on the waiver wire.
Tim Hightower, RB Sunday 11/2, 4:01 PM CT
Tim Hightower was impressive in his first career start in Sunday's 34-13 win over St. Louis, with 22 carries for 109 yards and a touchdown, with a long gain of 30 yards.

Our View: Edgerrin James did not register any carries in the game. Hightower should be targeted if still dangling on the waiver wire, especially with another favorable match-up next weekend against the 49ers.
Anquan Boldin, WR Sunday 11/2, 3:57 PM CT
Anquan Boldin led the Cardinals with six receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Rams.

Our View: He has now scored a touchdown in five straight games, with eight touchdowns for the season. He will have a good chance to extend the streak next weekend with a favorable match-up against the 49ers.
Kurt Warner, QB Sunday 11/2, 3:52 PM CT
Kurt Warner completed 23-of-34 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Rams. He did not throw any interceptions.

Our View: Warner has impressively thrown at least two touchdown passes in seven straight games, topping 300 yards four times over the span.
Travis LaBoy, DE Sunday 11/2, 11:45 AM CT
DE Travis LaBoy, DL Alan Branch, TE Ben Patrick, OT Brandon Keith, QB Brian St. Pierre, WR Early Doucet, OT Elliot Vallejo, and TE Leonard Pope are all inactive for the Cardinals today.

Our View: Branch and Laboy are solid starters along the defensive line and running back Steven Jackson and the Rams' ground attack will benefit from their absence. LaBoy is also the anchor of the pass rush, as he recorded four sacks this season.
Tim Hightower, RB Sunday 11/2, 8:11 AM CT
The Arizona Cardinals will start running back Tim Hightower against the St. Louis Rams, according to FoxSports.com.

Our View: This means that Edgerrin James becomes the backup, and his fantasy value is waning. Hightower has been the man at the goal-line the whole year anyway, and he certainly has a shot to pound one in against the Rams.
Ben Patrick, TE Saturday 11/1, 8:45 AM CT
The East Valley Tribune reports that tight end Ben Patrick should be able to play on Sunday despite missing some time lately with a sore knee.

Our View: Patrick could start as the Cardinals will be without Leonard Pope. However, do not expect much production as Kurt Warner's talented trio of receivers will get most all of the targets.
