Newsbreakers
Matt Ryan, QBMonday 10/6, 5:15 PM CT
Matt Ryan led the Falcons to just their second road win in 13 tries over the weekend as he was poised and gave the club enough in the passing game (194 yards, two scores) to keep the defense honest for the powerful rushing attack to take control, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Ryan hasn't done much in terms of production (54.2 completion percentage, four scores, three interceptions), but he is showing the poise the team expects will one day result in some strong work under center.
Todd Mcclure, CSunday 10/5, 8:30 PM CT
Falcons center Todd Mcclure made his 101 consecutive start in Week 5 but on the first play of the game injured his calf, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Although Mcclure missed a couple of series he was able to return to the game.

Our View:Mcclure returned and performed well with the whole Falcons offense in their Week 5 win against the Packers.
Sam Baker, OTSunday 10/5, 8:25 PM CT
Sam Baker returned to the Falcons lineup in Week 5 for the first time since he suffered a concussion in Week 2.

Our View:The Falcons offense was hitting on all cylinders on Sunday against the Packers. Baker and his offensive line mates performed well in both pass protection and the run game.
