Newsbreakers
Jonathan Stewart, RBMonday 12/1, 10:24 AM CT
Jonathan Stewart commented on his hamstring ailment sustained in Sunday's upset win over the Packers, according to the Gaston Gazette. The rookie said, "I cramped up right when I burst through the hole (on a 43-yard run). My left hammy just tightened up. I tried to keep running. I think it was because it was cold and I wasn’t warmed up properly because I’d been sitting on the sidelines for awhile. It’s a lesson learned."

Our View:Stewart was able to return to the game, and the ailment shouldn't hinder his availability for Week 14 against the Buccaneers on Monday night.
Julius Peppers, DESunday 11/30, 3:49 PM CT
Defensive end Julius Peppers recorded two sacks in the Week 13 win over the Packers. He has multiple sacks in three of the last four games and 11 sacks on the season.

Our View:Peppers is having a rebound year, just in time to sign a new contract. He is two sacks shy of his career-high (13), which he set in 2006.
Steve Smith, WRSunday 11/30, 3:35 PM CT
Wide receiver Steve Smith caught four passes for 105 yards in the Week 13 win over the Packers. His biggest grab was a 54-yard gain late in the fourth quarter to set up the winning score.

Our View:Smith moves his scoreless streak to four games, but he has gone over 100 yards in each of the last two contests. He remains a solid fantasy wideout.
