Daunte Culpepper, QB Wednesday 12/3, 12:04 PM CT
Dan Orlovsky is not practicing with the Lions on Wednesday, so in all likelihood, Daunte Culpepper will once again get the chance to lead Detroit to the promised land of a victory, according to MLive.com.

Our View: Culpepper and the Lions will go up against a depleted Minnesota defensive front, so you have to think that if they have a chance to win a game this season, this would be a good opportunity.
Dewayne White, DE Tuesday 12/2, 1:48 PM CT
Dewayne White is questionable for Week 14 due to his calf injury, according to MLive.com.

Our View: White has been the Lions' best pass rusher with 5.5 sacks and three forced fumbles, and Gus Frerotte and the Vikings' aerial attack would benefit from his absence if unable to go Sunday.
Kevin Smith, RB Tuesday 12/2, 1:45 PM CT
Kevin Smith sat out Monday's practice while nursing an ankle ailment, but coach Rod Marinelli expects him to play Sunday against the Vikings, according to MLive.com.

Our View: This is encouraging news, but the banged-up rookie rusher will not be a favorable fantasy option against the Vikings' second ranked run defense.
Mike Furrey, WR Tuesday 12/2, 1:40 PM CT
Mike Furrey is disappointed with Detroit's decision to shut him down for the remainder of the season due to a concussion, according to MLive.com. Furrey said, "The frustrating part is that there are four games left. Even if I sat out this week, I'd still have three games left. I feel fine and I'm disappointed. From their side, they needed to get somebody in there who needed to play. I was hoping to practice today and be ready to go. I felt good and I wanted to go, but they said they were being protective."

Our View: Furrey wanted to finish out the season, but was not much of a contributor with only 18 receptions for 181 yards over nine games for the winless Lions.
Dan Orlovsky, QB Tuesday 12/2, 1:35 PM CT
Dan Orlovsky is nearing his return to the Lions following his recovery from a fractured right thumb, according to MLive.com.

Our View: Orlovsky could be given the green light to practice and then play Sunday against the Vikings. Coach Rod Marinelli would not comment if Orlovsky would start over Daunte Culpepper if he fares well in practice.
Kevin Smith, RB Monday 12/1, 1:01 PM CT
Kevin Smith skipped Monday's practice for an undisclosed reason, according to MLive.com.

Our View: Smith looked slugglish on Thanksgiving Day as he only mustered 22 yards on 12 carries. Perhaps he is starting to hit the rookie wall, especially after handling a heavy workload at the University of Central Florida.
Keary Colbert, WR Monday 12/1, 12:54 PM CT
Keary Colbert has signed with the Lions to replace Mike Furrey, who has been placed on injured reserve due to a concussion, according to ESPN.

Our View: Colbert has been bounced around the league since being drafted by Carolina in 2004, and is not likely to register a blip on the fantasy radar with a struggling Lions' offense.
Mike Furrey, WR Monday 12/1, 12:50 PM CT
Mike Furrey has been placed on season-ending injured reserve due to a concussion, according to ESPN. The club signed receiver Keary Colbert to fill his spot on the roster.

Our View: Furrey was reduced to 18 receptions over nine games this season without offensive coordinator Mike Martz directing the offense, and Furrey won't be missed in fantasy leagues.
