Texans QB Schaub expected to return Sunday
Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, who has missed the last four contests due to a knee injury, is expected to return as the starter for Sunday's game at Green Bay.

Schaub has been out since injuring the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in a 28-21 loss at Minnesota on November 2.

"Well, I think if everything goes okay this week then expectations are that he goes back into his role as our starter," said Texans coach Gary Kubiak. "But let's wait and see how he works this week. He did come in today and work out and that went goo... More...

Newsbreakers
Matt Schaub, QBTuesday 12/2, 6:31 PM CT
Updating an earlier report, Matt Schaub is expected to start on Sunday barring any setbacks, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:The Packers' defense has given up 86 points in their last two games and the Texans' top receiver Andre Johnson isn't slowing down, so Schaub could be a decent fantasy player this week.
Bryan Pittman, CTuesday 12/2, 4:41 PM CT
Bryan Pittman was suspended for the last four games of the regular season on Tuesday, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He violated the league's substance abuse policy by testing positive for a water pill, which can be used to mask steroid use.

Our View:Pittman doesn't have any fantasy value as a long snapper. He could return to the Texans on December 29th if the team were to make the playoffs, but they're three games behind the second place Colts in the AFC South, so that is highly unlikely.
Matt Schaub, QBTuesday 12/2, 9:49 AM CT
Matt Schaub, who served as the No. 2 quarterback behind Sage Rosenfels Monday night against the Jaguars, could return to the starting lineup in Week 14, according to the Houston Chronicle. Schaub had been recovering from a knee injury.

Our View:Schaub held a solid 91.0 efficiency rating as the Texans' starter this season, and should resume his role with a favorable week of practice. He would draw a tough assignment in his first game back though, as the Texans play the Packers at Lambeau Field.
