Newsbreakers
Rashean Mathis, CBWednesday 12/3, 11:00 AM CT
Jacksonville cornerback Rashean Mathis will miss the rest of the season due to a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee, according to the AP.

Our View:Mathis will probably go on injured reserve soon. He was the team's top cornerback, and it's yet another injury that the Jags will have to deal with in a season where they've faced plenty of them.
Reggie Nelson, SWednesday 12/3, 10:30 AM CT
With Jacksonville struggling, head coach Jack Del Rio will look to make changes in the offseason, and one of those could be firing defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, according to the Sporting News Today.

Our View:The Jaguars are a respectable 13th in pass defense, but are 20th against the run and 20th in points per game allowed, with 22.5. The players have not adjusted well to his schemes.
Fred Taylor, RBMonday 12/1, 10:56 PM CT
Fred Taylor broke the Jaguars team record for touchdowns with his fourth quarter score against the Texans. Taylor rushed for 67 yards on only nine carries.

Our View:Taylor surpassed the touchdown total of Jimmy Smith. The score was his first of the year.
