Jimmy Kennedy, DT Wednesday 12/3, 3:54 PM CT
In an effort to shore up their defensive tackle position, the Minnesota Vikings have signed Jimmy Kennedy, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: Kennedy was a bust as the first-round pick of the Rams in 2003, and has subsequently bounced around the league. He was cut by Jacksonville in late November.
Jared Allen, DE Wednesday 12/3, 8:09 AM CT
Vikings defensive end Jared Allen won the NFC's defensive player of the week award for his play against the Bears on Sunday, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: Allen tallied eight tackles and three sacks in a dominating performance. He has 11.0 sacks on the season and IDP owners are surely aware of the season he's been having.
Kevin Williams, DT Wednesday 12/3, 8:06 AM CT
Suspended Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams will file an injunction in court on Wednesday in hopes of being allowed to play, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: It is possible that the injunction will be heard and ruled on by the end of the day. If this move falls through, they would each miss the team's next four games.
Fred Evans, DT Wednesday 12/3, 8:02 AM CT
Minnesota will rely on defensive tackles Fred Evans and Ellis Wyms to step up and fill in for suspended line mates Kevin and Pat Williams, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: Evans has just three tackles on the year, and Wyms has four, with one sack. Either way, they will not be able to replace the two Williamses production, so fantasy owners with running backs who play Minnesota could benefit from this.
Brian Robison, DE Wednesday 12/3, 7:58 AM CT
Vikings defensive end Brian Robison underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and will miss a number of weeks, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: The Vikings are now down three lineman with the suspensions of Kevin and Pat Williams. Robison had just six tackles and one sack, but the team needs as many lineman as they can get right now.
Rufus Alexander, LB Tuesday 12/2, 7:33 PM CT
Rufus Alexander has been signed by the Colts off of the Vikings' practice squad, according to Profootballtalk.com.

Our View: Alexander shouldn't have any fantasy value in IDP leagues.
Pat Williams, DT Tuesday 12/2, 4:56 PM CT
Pat Williams will be suspended for the last four games of the regular season, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He tested positive for water pills, which violate the league's substance abuse policy because they can be used to mask steroid use.

Our View: Williams can return on December 29th if the Vikings make the playoffs. Minnesota currently has a one-game lead over the Bears in the NFC North race.
Kevin Williams, DT Tuesday 12/2, 4:50 PM CT
Kevin Williams will not play in the Vikings' final four regular season games, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He violated the league's substance abuse policy by testing positive for water pills, which can be used to mask steroid use. Williams can return on December 29th if the Vikings make the playoffs. This task will be more difficult now that both Kevin and Pat Williams are out for their final four games as the Vikings claim to a one-game lead over the Bears in the NFC North.

Our View: Williams had 8.5 sacks so far this season with a forced fumble and 49 total tackles. If you have him in IDP leagues, you can cut him and owners with the Vikings' team defense might want to look at other options as well.
Gus Frerotte, QB Monday 12/1, 9:54 AM CT
Gus Frerotte was knocked out when he sustained a blow to the back of the head (compliments of Adewale Ogunleye) in Sunday night's outing with the rival Bears, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View: He was able to finish the game and lead the Vikings to a win, but will be evaluated for post-concussion symptoms during the week. The club has a favorable match-up against the winless Lions in Week 14.
