Coughlin addresses Burress situation East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin
addressed the situation with suspended wide receiver Plaxico Burress on
Wednesday, but would not divulge the reasons behind the club's decision to
place the oft-troubled receiver on the non-football injury list.
"I had a conversation with Plaxico," Coughlin said Wednesday. "He was very
humble, he was remorseful. Obviously, it doesn't change anything. But you have
to understand that he is a part of our team. Our concern is with he and his
family's well-being.
The New York Giants have signed defensive tackle Leger Douzable off of their practice squad, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.
Our View:Douzable was an undrafted free agent who was cut by the Vikings at the end of training camp and subsequently signed by New York. He takes the roster spot of Plaxico Burress.
