Newsbreakers
Jonathan Goff, LB Wednesday 12/3, 6:04 PM CT
Jonathan Goff did not participate in practice Wednesday because of a hamstring injury, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View: The Giants have not said if Goff will play this weekend but he doesn't hold any fantasy value as a backup linebacker.
Travonti Johnson, CB Wednesday 12/3, 2:48 PM CT
The New York Giants have signed cornerback Travonti Johnson, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Our View: Johnson is a big (6-foot-2) corner who will give the team depth if needed.
Leger Douzable, DT Wednesday 12/3, 2:43 PM CT
The New York Giants have signed defensive tackle Leger Douzable off of their practice squad, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Our View: Douzable was an undrafted free agent who was cut by the Vikings at the end of training camp and subsequently signed by New York. He takes the roster spot of Plaxico Burress.
Plaxico Burress, WR Wednesday 12/3, 1:24 PM CT
The doctor that treated Plaxico Burress on the night he shot himself in the leg, Josyann Abisaab, was suspended for not contacting the police about it, according to the New York Post.

Our View: It is the law in New York for doctors to contact police when they treat a victim of a gunshot wound. They are still deciding whether or not to bring charges against anyone who did not contact the authorities that should have.
Antonio Pierce, LB Wednesday 12/3, 12:49 PM CT
Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce is going to practice on Wednesday, and in all likelihood will play for the team on Sunday, according to ESPN.com.

Our View: Piece was with Plaxico Burress when Burress shot himself in the leg, and the police are still investigating whether or not Pierce had any involvement with a potential cover-up.
Domenik Hixon, WR Tuesday 12/2, 11:54 PM CT
Domenik Hixon should have a lot of fantasy value now that Plaxico Burress has been suspended for the remainder of the year.

Our View: Look for Hixon's reception total to be on the rise this Sunday against the Eagles.
Antonio Pierce, LB Tuesday 12/2, 5:35 PM CT
Antonio Pierce could still face legal issues due to his involvement with the Plaxico Burress incident, according to ESPN.

Our View: Pierce should still play this week against the Eagles, but we'll keep you updated as the situation develops further.
Plaxico Burress, WR Tuesday 12/2, 5:02 PM CT
Plaxico Burress has been suspended for four games and placed on the non-football injury list, according to ESPN.

Our View: Plax's season is over, which is not a surprise. He may or may not be going to jail, but either way he's not going to be helping fantasy teams anymore this season.
Steve Smith, WR Tuesday 12/2, 10:41 AM CT
Steve Smith was robbed at gunpoint on his driveway at around 4 a.m. back on November 25, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Smith turned over cash and jewelry to the gunman, and was not injured in the incident. The gunman was not caught and there is speculation that Plaxico Burress decided to carry a loaded handgun due to Smith's robbery.
Plaxico Burress, WR Tuesday 12/2, 9:28 AM CT
Plaxico Burress posted $100,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 31, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: He is facing two weapons charges, that could send him to prison. The Giants are yet to make a decision regarding Burress' future with the club.
Plaxico Burress, WR Monday 12/1, 1:24 PM CT
Updating an earlier report, Plaxico Burress was escorted out of New York's 17th precinct police station in handcuffs, according to the Star-Ledger.

Our View: Burress was visibly upset and did not speak to the media. Burress is now awaiting a 2:15 p.m. (ET) arraignment at the courthouse.
Plaxico Burress, WR Monday 12/1, 8:26 AM CT
Plaxico Burress reported to a police station Monday morning and is expected to be charged after shooting himself in the leg, according to ESPN.

Our View: According to his attorney, Burress planned to plead not guilty to criminal possession of a weapon. Coach Tom Coughlin is yet to comment on Burress' future with the Giants.
