Rams place TE McMichael on IR
St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Rams have placed tight end Randy McMichael on injured reserve because of a broken right tibia and ligament damage.

McMichael was hurt in the Rams' last game on September 28 against Buffalo. The team had a bye last week and decided to make the move on Monday.

"He's got a torn ligament, which is the biggest concern," said interim head coach Jim Haslett on Monday. "The bone will heal, but we're more concerned with the torn ligament, which will take a little bit more time."

McMichael was the team's third-leadin... More...

Newsbreakers
Keenan Burton, WRMonday 10/13, 4:27 PM CT
Rams rookie wideout Keenan Burton is expected to be back for the team when they take on the Cowboys this week, according to the Belleville News-Democrat.

Our View:Burton had been out after knee surgery. His return is a positive thing for the team, as they need all the speed they can get at receiver. Don't expect him to make much of a fantasy impact immediately, however.
Orlando Pace, TMonday 10/13, 4:25 PM CT
Rams tackle Orlando Pace is questionable for the team's Week 7 game against the Cowboys because of a strained quad, according to the Belleville News-Democrat.

Our View:The Rams can ill afford to lose the future Hall of Fame lineman for any amount of time. Adam Goldberg is his backup, and though adequate, the Cowboys will offer a stern test next Sunday.
Brian Leonard, RBMonday 10/13, 4:22 PM CT
Rams running back Brian Leonard was put on injured reserve Monday with a shoulder separation, according to the Belleville News-Democrat.

Our View:Leonard was fantasy-relevant for about two games last year in place of the injured Steven Jackson. But he's really a man without a position, as he's not cut out for running back and not big enough to be a fullback, so his presence won't be missed at all by St. Louis.
