Our View:He only registered one goal and two assists over 18 games with Carolina in 2007-08, and missed the final 47 contests of the regular season due to a concussion. He was once regarded as a top prospect, and should be tried out with another club.

Our View:The Blues released Tanabe from his tryout contract earlier this week. He played parts of five seasons in Carolina and knows the system well, but we don’t see him being a fantasy factor.
