Josef Vasicek signed a one-year, $750,000 deal with the Isles Wednesday. Vasicek registered 22 points in 63 games with the Preds and Canes last season.

Josef Vasicek was traded to the Hurricanes Friday in exchange for forward Eric Belanger. It's the second tour of duty in Carolina for Vasicek, who will probably be the team's No. 3 center.
