Our View:Heatley is very skilled, and already has three goals in the team's first two games. It would not be unreasonable for him to accumulate 50 goals for fantasy owners this season.

Our View:Heatley already has three goals in two regular season contests and is off to a quick start as he looks to return to the 50-goal plateau he reached in his first two seasons in Ottawa before falling back to 41 last season in a campaign that was cut a bit short due to a shoulder injury.

Dany Heatley was named the MVP of the IIHF World Hockey Championships despite the fact that Canada fell 5-4 to Russia in the finals, according to SLAM SPORTS. Heatley led all tournaments skaters in scoring with 20 points (12g, 8a).
Our View:Heatley also won MVP honors in the tournament in 2004, so please, put to rest any thoughts that this guy isn't a big-time player. Heatley is now Canada's all-time leader in international goals (31) and points (47).

This modest streak comes on the heels of a stretch of three games without a point, and since February 12th points have been hard to come by for Heatley as he has just six points in 12 games, an amazingly low total given the fact that he has 69 points in 57 games on the year.

Dany Heatley could be back on the ice for game action as soon as Saturday, according to the CP. "Heater's not ahead of schedule, but he's on the short end of what we thought, so hopefully he's going to be back," said coach John Paddock. He's been out with a separated shoulder, and as Paddock pointed out, this weekend would be on the early side of his 4-6 week recovery time.
