Our View:The defenseman has had a good start with his new team, that is until he tore up his knee. He has four points through seven games this season.
October 12, 2008 Joni Pitkanen had two assists and finished at plus-1 during Saturday's game against the Lightning. He took seven shots and now has three points in his first two games with Carolina.
Our View:Pitkanen came over in the offseason from Edmonton and the 25-year-old has clearly been given the green light. He has nine shots and a plus-4 rating through his first two games and should find his way onto fantasy rosters soon if he has not already.
