June 29, 2008 Steve Eminger has inked a one-year deal with the Flyers, according to the AP. Terms of the deal were not dislosed. GM Paul Holmgren said, "Steve is a young two-way defenseman that will fit nicely with our group."
Our View:The Flyers recently acquired the 24-year old defenseman in a draft-day trade with the Capitals. Eminger was selected 12th overall by Washington back in 2002, but failed to make an impact, and won't likely break out and emerge as "fantasy worthy" in Philadelphia.
June 21, 2008 The Flyers have acquired defenseman Steve Eminger from the Capitals in exchange for their first-round pick in the draft (29th overall), which Washington used to select defenseman John Carlson, according to the Miami Herald.
Our View:Eminger has spent five campaigns in the NHL, all with Washington, and has posted a mere six goals and 37 assists over 212 games. He only appeared in 20 games in 2007-08 and was a healthy scratch for many of the contests. He could benefit from a fresh start in Philadelphia, but isn't likely going to garner any fantasy interest.
