July 30, 2008 The New York Rangers agreed to terms with restricted free-agent forward Fredrik Sjostrom on Monday, according to the Miami Herald.
Our View:Sjostrom appeared in 69 games for the Coyotes and Rangers last season, posting 12 goals and 21 points. He tallied twice in 18 games with the Blueshirts after the club acquired him in a trade-deadline deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

February 24, 2007 Fredrik Sjostrom is aiming to return Monday from the sprained knee he sustained during Thursday's game, according to the Arizona Republic. "It looked bad and didn't really feel good, but they (team doctors) are saying all the ligaments are good," Sjostrom said. "I'm pretty lucky. It could have been a lot worse."
