December 24, 2006 It looks like Garnet Exelby will return from his bout with mononucleosis soon, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It's pretty much the coach's decision after Christmas," he said. "I've been working out for 2 1/2 weeks and skating for probably 10 days. ... I'm never going to be quite back to normal until I get a few games in, but I'm there."
December 14, 2006 Garnet Exelby got on the ice yesterday and skated for the first time in a month, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Exelby, who has been out with mononucleosis, could begin practicing sometime later next week.
