November 1, 2008 The New York Post reports that defenseman Sheldon Brookbank is expected to get his first game this season on defense while replacing Andy Greene (broken hand). He played as a wing when Jamie Langenbrunner sat out last Saturday's loss in Philly.
Our View:Brookbank probably won't score you many points but could pile up a healthy amount of PIM. Greene is expected to return in 4-to-6 weeks.
October 3, 2007 The Devils added Sheldon Brookbank via waivers from the Blue Jackets, the AP reported on Wednesday. He logged 53 points in the AHL last season.
Our View:Fantasy owners shouldn’t get too excited about this move. After all, Brookbank appeared in only three games for the Predators last season.
