Bryan Smolinski continues to be an unsigned free agent, and even at 36years old he still believes he can be a full-time skater at the NHL level, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Smolinksi skated on the Habs fourth line in the playoffs centering Steve Begin and Tom Kostopoulos, and the trio was very successful. Smolinski should sign with someone soon, though he is no longer fantasy relevant.

Bryan Smolinski scored for the Canadiens keeping the Habs winning streak over Boston intact, and helping the Montreal Canadiens defeat the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series Thursday. Montreal won all eight regular-season meetings between the two long-time rivals.

The Canadiens signed Bryan Smolinski to a one-year contract on Monday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Smolinski started last season with the Blackhawks and was eventually traded to Vancouver.
