Retired NHL player Matthew Barnaby may be the individual who replaces Barry Melrose as NHL analyst for ESPN, according to the Buffalo News.

Our View:Barnaby retired after the 2006-07 season after a solid career where he accumulated over 2,500 PIM. The NHL does not get much time from ESPN anyway, so some people may not even notice a change.

Matthew Barnaby has had to stop exercising because of post-concussion problems, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Despite this setback, Barnaby says he is not yet considering retirement.

Matthew Barnaby has worked out a couple of times recently, but he's not ready for practice, according to the Dallas Morning News. It's not clear when Barnaby might return from his concussion at this point.
