January 25, 2007 The Rangers placed Darius Kasparaitis on waivers yesterday for the purpose of sending him to Hartford of the AHL, according to the New York Daily News. Assuming no one claims him, he'll go the AHL on a conditioning stint, though it's not clear exactly when the Rangers might recall him. "This might sound crazy, but I'm kind of excited to go there and play hockey," Kasparaitis said. "Maybe things will change and I'll come back as a Ranger or maybe I'll come back to the NHL with somebody else."
