Our View:Berard has had a nice preseason and has a very good chance of making the team. He does not merit much fantasy attention, however.

"I believe I can still be that player that can help on the power play. My all-around game is there now," he said.
Our View:Berard spent last season with the Islanders, putting up 22 points in 54 games, with a +/- of -17. He is a nice story after having so much trouble with his eye injury, but he merits no fantasy attention.
