Our View:That grouping didn’t last long, as Spezza left the game with an injury. Nevertheless, Robitaille’s stock increases with his move to the top line, as Heatley could be out up to six weeks.
October 16, 2007 The Senators signed free agent forward Randy Robitaille to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed. Technically, Robitaille must clear waivers on Wednesday before the deal becomes official.
Our View:Robitaille is a journeyman forward who has played for eight different teams during his career. However, the fact that he will playing for the high-scoring Senators means we’ll be keeping close tabs on him to determine whether he can make a fantasy impact.
December 21, 2006 The Islanders acquired Randy Robitaille and a fifth-round draft pick from the Flyers in exchange for Mike York, according to the New York Daily News. Robitaille had five goals and 12 assists with the Flyers this season.
