Toews, Blackhawks late rally tops Ducks
Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Jonathan Toews' goal with 1:35 left in regulation lifted Chicago over Anaheim, 4-2, at the United Center.

After an errant Chicago shot sailed to the end boards and rebounded back out into the slot, Dustin Byfuglien corralled the puck and shoved it back towards the net. Kris Versteeg got control at the left side of the crease and slid a pass into the paint for Toews for an easy tap-in.

Josh Green, 30, has signed with the Anaheim Ducks according to the Sports Ticker. He did not play last season.

Our View:Green is a left winger has scored 74 career points.

Joe Dipenta has left the NHL and signed a deal with Frolunda of the Swedish Elite League, according to TSN. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Coach Ulf Dahlen said, "He is a stable player who always does his job with great heart."

Our View:The defenseman contributed one goal and four assists over 23 games with the Ducks last season. He was a member of the Stanley Cup championship club in 2006-07.
Logan MacMillan, CTuesday 7/15, 2:33 PM CT
The Ducks have signed Logan MacMillan to a three-year deal, according to the AP. He was their first-round pick in 2007 (19th overall). Financial terms were not disclosed.

Our View:MacMillan has spent the last three seasons with Halifax of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, while scoring 44 goals and 114 points over 176 games. He is notably the son of former NHL center Bob MacMillan, an 11-year veteran who won the 1979 Lady Byng Trophy.
