Marty Turco, G Wednesday 12/3, 11:14 PM CT
Marty Turco resumed his struggles on Wednesday, allowing four goals on just 21 Edmonton shots in a 5-2 loss.

Our View: Turco could soon find himself riding the pine more often than not if he doesn't pick it up soon. His fantasy value is a bullet train heading southbound at this point.
Mike Modano, C Wednesday 12/3, 11:12 PM CT
Mike Modano scored two goals in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Oilers.

Our View: Modano now has 11 goals this year, which has him just 11 away from 550 goals in his career. His 19 points in 25 games make him a serviceable player in fantasy leagues.
Sean Avery, LW Wednesday 12/3, 7:36 PM CT
Sean Avery apologized for his "off-color" remarks, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Avery's remarks referred to Flames' defenseman Dion Phaneuf's girlfriend, who Avery used to date.
Sean Avery, LW Wednesday 12/3, 3:18 PM CT
Stars forward Sean Avery will have a hearing with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on Thursday to determine his status, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Avery was suspended for making a crude remark about a former girlfriend who is dating NHL player Dion Phaneuf, and it is one of numerous incidents in his career.
Sean Avery, LW Wednesday 12/3, 11:50 AM CT
Suspended Stars forward Sean Avery had an incident about a month ago in Boston, reports Scott Burnside of ESPN.com. Burnside reports that as Avery was exiting the ice, he yelled vulgarities to a heckling fan in Boston and a female that was accompanied with the fan. The insults were heard by numerous people, and resulted in complaints being filed to the league.

Our View: Those who are baffled as to why Avery would be suspended for a crude comment should look at his history. It's full of incidents where he has embarrassed himself and the NHL, and this is another one of them. Burnside goes on to say that there are many in the league who believe he needs professional help.
Loui Eriksson, LW Tuesday 12/2, 11:04 PM CT
Loui Eriksson scored an empty-net goal on Tuesday night to secure the Stars' 3-1 win over the Flames.

Our View: Eriksson has been a huge success this year. He has scored 12 goals now and has 20 points.
Marty Turco, G Tuesday 12/2, 10:59 PM CT
Marty Turco stopped 36-of-37 Calgary shots in the Stars' 3-1 win Tuesday night.

Our View: Turco has struggled in the early season but maybe a big one will get the ball rolling again.
Sean Avery, LW Tuesday 12/2, 5:04 PM CT
The NHL has suspended Stars forward Sean Avery indefinitely, according to TSN.ca. The suspension stems from remarks he made about Calgary player Dion Phaneuf and Phaneuf's girlfriend Elisha Cuthbert, who previously had a relationship with Avery.

Our View: We'll let you know if the league decides to discipline Avery any further.
Sergei Zubov, D Monday 12/1, 9:31 AM CT
Sergei Zubov will be out for at least a week while recovering from an undisclosed lower-body injury, according to the Star-Telegram.

Our View: Zubov is off to a dismal start due to injuries, but is still a top-20 fantasy defenseman when healthy, and shall remain stashed on fantasy rosters.
