Michael McDowell took the top honors among drives running for Rookie of the Year (ROTY) honors for the fourth time this season with his 24th-place finish in the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500.
Our View: The end of the race was hard to keep track of as drivers ran out of gas on the final lap, but McDowell had the right strategy at the end. |

NASCAR will throw a competition caution at lap 20 of the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500, to allow drivers to asses tire wear since practice was canceled by rain. Jimmie Johnson will lead the field to green.
