Bill Elliott is out of the No. 21 car this week so Marcos Ambrose can get some experience on the unrestricted, intermediate speedway, but look for Bill Elliott to return at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 23rd.
Our View: Elliott has one victory at Bristol, but he hasn't earned a top-10 there in 14 starts. |

Michael McDowell's future may be uncertain, but we now know that he is out of the No. 00 for at least three weeks while Mike Skinner helps the team evaluate their NASCAR Sprint Cup program.
Our View: Skinner did the same thing for Red Bull Racing's A.J. Allmendinger and the sophomore returned as a much stronger driver. This won't make the team a good value overnight, but it's a step in the right direction. |

Joey Logano will reportedly make his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut at Richmond International Raceway this September and is tentatively scheduled to run six of seven race with Gatorade as his sponsor.
Our View: Even though he is only 18 years old, this kid will be a great fantasy value when he straps into a fourth Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Toyota. |

In the event that qualification is canceled, the following eight drivers will make the show: Terry Labonte, Marcos Ambrose in the No. 21, Mike Skinner in the No. 00, Scott Riggs, Patrick Carpentier, Brad Coleman, Joe Nemechek and Tony Raines.
Our View: That means only Johnny Sauter would fail to qualify. |
