Brad Coleman has asked for and been granted a release from Baker-Curb Motorsports, according to SceneDaily.com, so he can concentrate his efforts with Hall of Fame Racing in the coming weeks.
Our View: Coleman was often a good value in the Nationwide Series, so it will be a shame to see him off the roster. It will take a while before he's a threat for a top 15 in Cup. |

It's almost official: Ryan Newman will join Stewart-Haas Racing in 2009, piloting a team car to Tony Stewart. The official announcement is scheduled to come on Friday at Michigan International Speedway according to NASCAR.com.
Our View: Both drivers have struggled more than they would have wanted in 2008 and it's hard to imagine that this move will improve their odds—but then again, Toyota's performance this season was quite a surprise as well. |
