NEWSBREAKERS NASCAR
N'Wide: Ho hum, Ky Busch wins againSaturday 8/30, 11:26 PM CT
Kyle Busch absolutely dominated the Camping World RV Service 300 to record his seventh Nationwide victory of the season.

Our View: Carl Edwards was on his bumper at the end, but couldn't quite get close enough to renew the rivalry from Bristol. Look for these two to run up front most of Sunday as well.
Johnson wins Auto Club HHSaturday 8/30, 8:23 PM CT
Jimmie Johnson posted the quickest average speed during Happy Hour, at 170.804 during 38 laps.

Our View: His single fast lap was third best, which gives him good odds to win from the pole.
Blaney posts single fast HH lap at ACSSaturday 8/30, 8:21 PM CT
Dave Blaney posted the fastest single lap in Happy Hour practice with a speed of 176.199 mph. That time was recorded in the first few minutes of practice on sticker tires.

Our View: Speed has not been Blaney's problem recently, but it is hard to suggest starting him because of the terrible luck experienced by the No. 22 team.
Vickers wins ACS P2Saturday 8/30, 6:48 PM CT
Brian Vickers posted the quickest average speed in the second practice session at Auto Club Speedway with a speed of 170.785 during 15 laps.

Our View: His top speed of 175.481 was the sixth best, which gives him a good balance of top end speed and durability.
Edwards posts single fast lap in ACS P2Saturday 8/30, 6:45 PM CT
Carl Edwards posted the single fastest lap in he second practice session for the Pepsi 500, with a speed of 177.958 mph.

Our View: His average speed of 169 and change was in the top 10 as well and it appears he will be able to keep his near-perfect record of top-10s on two-mile tracks alive.
Hornish spins in Auto Club P2Saturday 8/30, 6:10 PM CT
Sam Hornish spun harmlessly off turn four at the six minute mark of the second practice session for the Pepsi 500. He didn't make contact with anything and will soldier on.

Our View: Hornish has had two of his best runs on the sister track of Michigan, but he was 43rd on this track in the spring.
N'Wide: Ky Busch on ACS poleSaturday 8/30, 5:27 PM CT
Kyle Busch bettered the field by nearly two miles per hour and will lead the field to green on Saturday night. His top speed was 177.401 mph.

Our View: Busch will have some company, however, because teammate Joey Logano completely missed turn one and still battled back to qualify third. These two Toyotas are going to dominate the Camping World RV Service 300.
