Ray Allen had his best game of the playoffs Tuesday night, scoring 26 points on 8-of-12 shooting (including 7-of-9 from 3-point range) in Boston's 131-92 win over LA in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Our View: It's impressive that Ray could come up with this effort with his mind also on his ill son.
KG has double-double as Celts cruise to victoryTuesday 6/17, 11:00 PM CT
Kevin Garnett scored 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting while collecting 14 rebounds in the Celtics' 131-92 thrashing of the Lakers in the NBA Finals-clenching Game 6 Tuesday.

Our View: Congrats, KG. You finally got your championship.
Perkins back in lineup TuesdayTuesday 6/17, 7:44 PM CT
Kendrick Perkins will be back in the lineup for Game 6 of the NBA Finals Tuesday after missing Game 5 with a strained left shoulder, according to the AP.

Our View: With Perkins and Ray Allen both in line to start, the Celtics will be at full strength as they attempt to close out the series.
Allen will be in lineup tonightTuesday 6/17, 7:41 PM CT
Ray Allen will start Game 6 of the NBA Finals Tuesday after to leaving Game 5 immediately at its conclusion to tend to a sick child, according to the AP. "Ray is doing good. I mean, he's going to be fine," coach Doc Rivers said. "Obviously, he’s not had a lot of sleep over the last three days, probably. … We were thinking about it before this morning, just how much he's probably had. It can't be much. But he's ready. You can see it, he's ready to play."

Our View: The team gave no update on the condition of Allen's child at the guard's request, though it appears his son is doing well enough that dad can play tonight.
Suns looking for more picksTuesday 6/17, 1:37 PM CT
The East Valley Tribune reports the Suns could part ways with Leandro Barbosa or Boris Diaw in order to secure a second first-round draft pick. The Suns VP of Basketball Operations, David Griffin, feels that this draft is deep and full of players who could fit into their rotation immediately.

Our View: This is also an attempt to lower the team payroll. Phoenix is well above the luxury tax threshold and moving one of their two expensive reserves makes sense. The Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks, coached by Mike D'Antoni, are rumored targets.
Perkins plans on playing in Game 6 Tuesday 6/17, 11:49 AM CT
Kendrick Perkins said he plans to play in Game 6 against the Lakers following today's shootaround, according to the Boston Globe. Perkins missed Game 5 with a strained left shoulder, and the Celtics' loss let the Lakers climb back into the series at 3-2. Perkins said, "If it feels good, I'm going to give it a shot tonight. I plan on playing tonight and I'll see how it goes."

Our View: Perkins also admitted that his shoulder won't be back to 100% until after the season, but feels well enough to play tonight.

Clippers' coach Mike Dunleavy expects Elton Brand back with the team next season, according to the LA Times. Brand is due to make $16,440,000 in 2008-2009. Dunleavy said, "There’s not a lot of teams with money out there and guys are going to find that out. There are going to be a lot of guys not happy with what they’re going to be offered."

Our View: Brand said he will make a decision fairly soon whether to opt of the final year of his contract. Brand was limited to eight games in 2007-08 due to a left Achilles' tendon injury, but averaged 17.6 points and eight boards.
