Paul dishes eight assistsFriday 7/25, 11:11 PM CT
Chris Paul made his presence felt in Team USA's 120-65 destruction of Team Canada by scoring 11 points to go along with eight assists, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Paul played alongside Deron Williams in this game, giving the U.S. team arguably the two best point guards in the world playing at the same time.
Wade scores 20Friday 7/25, 11:07 PM CT
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade scored 20 points in Team USA's 120-65 demolition of Team Canada, according to the AP.

Our View: Wade had not played in months due to a knee malady, but his performance shed any doubt that he is ready to go.
Jazz match offer sheet for MilesFriday 7/25, 7:02 PM CT
The Utah Jazz have matched the offer sheet C.J. Miles signed with the Oklahoma City franchise, and will retain him, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Our View: The offer sheet was a four-year, $15 million deal, and though many expected the Jazz to let Miles walk, they decided he was too valuable. As a 21-year-old, Miles has a bright future, but as of right now, his fantasy impact is low.
Vujacic signs three-year dealFriday 7/25, 5:36 PM CT
Sasha Vujacic has signed a three-year, $15 million contract to remain with the Lakers, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View: Vujacic used the threat of bolting to Europe to his advantage to secure this deal. The shooting guard has some value in fantasy basketball due to his three-point shooting, but his value could improve if he receives more minutes.
Okafor, Bobcats still far apartFriday 7/25, 5:11 PM CT
Emeka Okafor and the Charlotte Bobcats are still far apart in their contract discussions, but are not listening to offers for a sign-and-trade, according to the AP.

Our View: Okafor will get his money eventually, whether it is this season in Charlotte, or next season if he decides to sign his one-year qualifying offer and enter free agency.
Charlotte re-sign HollinsFriday 7/25, 5:05 PM CT
The Charlotte Bobcats have re-signed center Ryan Hollins, according to The Sports Network.

Our View: Hollins averaged 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game, and holds no value in fantasy basketball.
King James expected out for Friday Friday 7/25, 2:45 PM CT
LeBron James is expected to miss Friday's exhibition game with Team USA versus Canada, according to the LA Times. James sustained a mild ankle sprain during practice Tuesday. Coach Mike Krzyzewski said, "He hasn’t had contact. We’re better off giving him a few days."

Our View: The injury should not be a concern, nor should it jeopardize his goal to claim a gold medal in the Olympics.
Evans inks with Hawks Friday 7/25, 1:25 PM CT
Maurice Evans has inked a three-year contract with the Hawks worth around $7.5 million, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View: Evans was brought in to attempt to fill the void for the departure of Josh Childress to Greece. He averaged 8.9 points over 22.9 minutes per game last season with Orlando.
West considering deal with Moscow Friday 7/25, 9:46 AM CT
Yahoo Sports indicates that Delonte West is considering a two-year deal worth $10 million to play for Dynamo Moscow.

Our View: West has few options as a restricted free agent right now. He could sign a $2.76 million qualifying offer for the 2008-09 season and become an unrestricted free agent next year. Cavs' GM Danny Ferry has considered sign-and-trade possibilities for West but he really wants to keep West.
Bynum cleared by doctors Friday 7/25, 9:41 AM CT
Andrew Bynum has made enough progress in his recovery from a dislocated kneecap, and has been cleared by doctors for full contact practices and workouts, according to the LA Daily News. His agent said, "He's absolutely fine, he's going to come in as a beast. He's got no atrophy anywhere. The kid's in great shape. Maybe it comes with being 20 years of age."

Our View: This is encouraging news, as Bynum averaged 13.1 points and 10.2 rebounds over 35 games with Los Angeles last season prior to going down.
Jones gets one-year deal Friday 7/25, 8:26 AM CT
Dahntay Jones agreed to a one-year guaranteed deal with the Nuggets, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Our View: Jones only averages 4.9 points per game over his five-year career, and is not expected to be fantasy worthy with the Nuggets.
