Murray headed to Russia?Monday 8/11, 8:20 PM CT
Ronald Murray has been offered a 2-year, $5 million deal to play for the Russian Team Dynamo Moscow, according to the News-Herald. The club is also interested in Jannero Pargo.

Our View: Murray likely won't get an offer for that much coin from an NBA club, so if he is all about the ducats you won't see him in an NBA uniform for a couple of seasons.
Weaver traded to Oklahoma CityMonday 8/11, 8:09 PM CT
Kyle Weaver has been traded by the Bobcats to Oklahoma City for a second round draft pick in the 2009 NBA Entry draft, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: The 38th overall selection in this years draft, Weaver never had the chance to suit up with the Bobcats after average 12.2 points a game as a senior at Washington State.
Hermmann re-signs with PistonsMonday 8/11, 6:46 PM CT
Walter Herrmann decided to re-sign with the Pistons on Monday, according to the Associated Press. “He is a player with tremendous work ethic and showed last year that he is a player that can contribute,” Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars said.

Our View: Herrmann played in only 28 games last season with averages of 3.0 points and 1.3 boards in 7.1 mi minutes a game. Give us a break, it's a slow news day in the NBA.
Yi unimpressive in GamesMonday 8/11, 4:27 PM CT
Yi Jianlian has failed to impress anyone at the Olympic Games so far, especially in China's loss to the Americans when he went 0-for-6 in the first half, according to ESPN.com.

Our View: Yi finished with nine points on 4-for-13 shooting, but the Nets might be a little nervous after seeing Jianlian look so terrible on such a big stage after acquiring him this off-season.
Gordon likely to turn down offerMonday 8/11, 4:23 PM CT
Ben Gordon has been offered a deal of $59 million for six years by the Bulls, but it appears unlikely that it will be accepted, according to SB Nation.

Our View: Gordon wants more money, don't we all, and appears very dissatisfied with the current offer. He could always turn it down and sign a one year qualifying offer, but he appears to be trying to find a way to leave the Bulls.
Bowen re-signs with Hornets Monday 8/11, 2:29 PM CT
Ryan Bowen has re-signed with the Hornets, according to ESPN. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Our View: He only scored 2.2 points per game last season, but the team likes his hustle and skills on defense. He holds no fantasy value.
Williams on Cavs' radar? Monday 8/11, 11:22 AM CT
The Cavaliers may be targeting Mo Williams, according to the News-Herald.

Our View: All the details aren’t known, but the Cavs, Bucks and Oklahoma City are reportedly involved. Bucks' GM John Hammond has made it known he has no intention of parting with shooting guard Michael Redd, who has been a longtime target of the Cavs.
Elson to sign with Bucks Monday 8/11, 11:19 AM CT
Francisco Elson has confirmed that he is going to sign with the Bucks, according to HoopsHype.com. He said, "I had a great conversation with coach Scott Skiles and I feel this is the place I can contribute the most with my position and have an impact. The team looks great, the guys are great, the staff is great. I’m very excited to be a part of their organization and I really look forward to playing."

Our View: He will serve as a backup to Andrew Bogut in Milwaukee, and his fantasy value remains limited.
Fernandez leads Spain to win Monday 8/11, 9:13 AM CT
Rudy Fernandez led the Spanish Olympic team to a win over Greece on Sunday, according to the Oregonian. He scored 16 points in the contest and said, "This first win was very important to us." He credited Spain's solid defense for the win.

Our View: If Fernandez himself learned to play solid defense, he could form a strong backcourt with Brandon Roy in Portland.
