The Trail Blazers remain optimistic that Brandon Roy will be ready for the season opener on October 28. He underwent left knee surgery on Thursday and is expected to miss four-to-eight weeks, ESPN.com reports.
Our View: Roy may be a little rusty come the season opener, but the Blazers sound pretty confident that he will be 100 percent. The rising star will be trying to improve on his solid sophomore campaign of 19.1 points, 5.8 assists and 4.7 rebounds. |

Our View: It was a fabulous all-around performance by Team USA. Spain was supposed to be one of the few teams with a chance to down the Americans, but that situation was never even close to occurring. |

Our View: Ming scored 30 in his previous game against Angloa, so he has clearly turned it on. Fantasy players should be pleased that the stress fracture in his foot appears to be fine. |

Ben Gordon believes he has seen his last days in Chicago, and he is currently exploring sign-and-trade possibilities, according to the ESPN.com. "I guess it's safe to say I've played my last game in a Bulls uniform," Gordon said. He also proclaimed the chances of him being traded as "very likely."
Our View: Gordon and the Bulls have been at an impasse on his contract for quite some time, and the end seems to be near. Gordon's agent even suggested that his client could play in Europe next season. |
