Roy should be ready for season openerSaturday 8/16, 7:31 PM CT
The Trail Blazers remain optimistic that Brandon Roy will be ready for the season opener on October 28. He underwent left knee surgery on Thursday and is expected to miss four-to-eight weeks, ESPN.com reports.

Our View: Roy may be a little rusty come the season opener, but the Blazers sound pretty confident that he will be 100 percent. The rising star will be trying to improve on his solid sophomore campaign of 19.1 points, 5.8 assists and 4.7 rebounds.
Wade is solidSaturday 8/16, 11:55 AM CT
Dwyane Wade was solid for Team USA, helping his squad decimate Spain 119-82. Wade scored 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting, and pulled down seven rebounds.

Our View: It was a fabulous all-around performance by Team USA. Spain was supposed to be one of the few teams with a chance to down the Americans, but that situation was never even close to occurring.
James scorches SpainSaturday 8/16, 11:39 AM CT
LeBron James helped the United States completely destroy the Spanish team in the Olympics, 119-82, by pouring in 18 points, dishing seven assists and grabbing four rebounds.

Our View: This was supposed to be a challenge for the United States, but it wasn't even close. The Americans look like they are well on their way to a gold medal.
Ginobili leads ArgentinaSaturday 8/16, 10:22 AM CT
Manu Ginobili scored 32 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter to help lead Argentina to a 97-82 win over Iran, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View: Ginobili turned it on in the fourth quarter of what was a surprisingly close game due to Iran's three-point shooting.
Ming excels against GermanySaturday 8/16, 10:06 AM CT
Center Yao Ming had a great game against Germany, scoring 25 points and snaring 11 rebounds to lead China to a 59-55 win, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View: Ming scored 30 in his previous game against Angloa, so he has clearly turned it on. Fantasy players should be pleased that the stress fracture in his foot appears to be fine.
Gordon seeking tradeSaturday 8/16, 8:04 AM CT
Ben Gordon believes he has seen his last days in Chicago, and he is currently exploring sign-and-trade possibilities, according to the ESPN.com. "I guess it's safe to say I've played my last game in a Bulls uniform," Gordon said. He also proclaimed the chances of him being traded as "very likely."

Our View: Gordon and the Bulls have been at an impasse on his contract for quite some time, and the end seems to be near. Gordon's agent even suggested that his client could play in Europe next season.
