Rookie Greene leads Kings in scoringTuesday 10/7, 11:57 PM CT
Donte Greene came off the bench to lead the Kings in scoring on Tuesday night in their loss to Portland. He finished the game with 18 points in 24 minutes.

Our View: Greene poured in 40 in a summer league game and it's apparent that he knows how to score and get to the free throw line. He was 8-for-10 from the charity stripe on Tuesday but contributed little else aside from his one steal and block.
Oden makes NBA debutTuesday 10/7, 11:54 PM CT
Greg Oden needed just 20 minutes to garner 13 points, five rebounds, two blocks and two assists on Tuesday as Portland defeated Sacramento 110-81.

Our View: The rookie missed all of last season due to microfracture knee surgery but he should be productive in his rookie season. His history of injuries makes him a risky pick in fantasy leagues.
Bass scores 17 in 16 minutesTuesday 10/7, 11:51 PM CT
Brandon Bass and Dirk Nowitzki paced the Mavericks with 17 apiece in Tuesday's 108-82 preseason victory. Bass got his production in just 16 minutes off the bench.

Our View: Bass can produce when given the minutes but with the re-signing of Desagana Diop in the offseason, big minutes will be tough to come by.
Vujacic misses game with injuryTuesday 10/7, 11:47 PM CT
The AP reports that Sasha Vujacic sat out Tuesday's 99-90 loss to the Jazz because of a sprained ankle.

Our View: He is expected to be 100 percent at some point in the preseason. The Lakers are merely being cautious with him. Regardless, do not expect any sort of fantasy contribution from him this season.
Kirilenko comes off bench in Jazz winTuesday 10/7, 11:45 PM CT
C.J. Miles started at small forward over Andrei Kirilenko in Tuesday's preseason contest with the Los Angeles Lakers. AK47 went on to play 22 minutes and finished with six points, a block, two assists and just one rebound.

Our View: Kirilenko provided little for his fantasy owners after the all-star break last season as he averaged 9.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, one block and one steal a game. Be sure not to overvalue him on draft day, especially if he loses his starting spot.
Bryant takes it easy in lossTuesday 10/7, 11:40 PM CT
Kobe Bryant took just six shots in 24 minutes of action as the Lakers lost to the Jazz 90-99 on Tuesday. He finished with just eight points to go with five rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block.

Our View: With more scoring options in L.A. this season, Bryant will shoot a little bit less but don't expect just six shots from him in any regular season game. His defensive production and efficiency should increase this season as less pressure is on his shoulders to score.
Bynum comes off the bench, leads LakersTuesday 10/7, 11:36 PM CT
Andrew Bynum came off the bench while Pau Gasol got the nod as the starting center on Tuesday night. Bynum finished the game with 15 points and eight rebounds but failed to block a shot in 24 minutes of action. The Lakers lost 99-90 to Utah.

Our View: The starting lineup is anything but set in L.A. but there is a possibility Bynum is not an every night starter this season. The Lakers are not happy at all with the play of Gasol and Bynum together on the floor to this point in the preseason.
Ariza starts in Lakers lossTuesday 10/7, 11:33 PM CT
Trevor Ariza started at small forward and Andrew Bynm came off the bench in the Lakers 90-99 loss to the Jazz on Tuesday. He played more minutes (30) than any other Laker and finished with 10 points, five rebounds, a steal, an assist and a block.

Our View: Ariza would see a huge boost in his value if he manages to land the starting gig, but even if he were to pull that off, his production would likely be modest.
Williams helps Jazz in win over LakersTuesday 10/7, 11:28 PM CT
Deron Williams looked good in Utah's 99-90 win over the Lakers on Tuesday. In 23 minutes he tallied 11 points, eight assists and two steals to go with just one turnover. He did not have Carlos Boozer (hamstring) in the lineup.

Our View: Look for more of the same from Williams this season and by that we mean Top 5 point guard production.
Williams is in control in debutTuesday 10/7, 11:04 PM CT
In his first game as a Cavalier, point guard Mo Williams seemed to have control of the offense according to the AP. In 27 minutes of action he had 12 points, four assists, three rebounds and just one turnover. Le bron James played just eight minutes but Williams seemed to work with his teammates well in the 20 point loss to the Raptors.

Our View: He was just 2-for-7 from three and was mostly outplayed by Raptors backup point guard Will Solomon who finished with 17 points. Defense has never been Williams' strong suit, but expect him to see plenty of minutes this coming season.
Landry has big game as Yao's backupTuesday 10/7, 10:36 PM CT
Freshly signed Carl Landry backed up Yao Ming most of the night at center in Houston's 96-93 win over Memphis on Tuesday night. He finished the game with 18 points and nine rebounds in 26 minutes of action.

Our View: Landry is a very good player who probably won't see enough minutes to warrant a draft pick. However, if he continues to play backup to Yao, that's a good thing for his value. Yao needs a lot of rest throughout the season meaning Landry could get his increase in playing time.
Gasol starts in first NBA gameTuesday 10/7, 10:23 PM CT
Darko Milicic did not play and Marc Gasol started at center in his first taste of NBA action. He matched up against Yao Ming in Memphis' 93-96 loss on Tuesday. Pau's brother played 19 minutes and registered just five points, two rebounds, two assists and a block.

Our View: Gasol will likely come off the bench if everyone's healthy and does not figure to have much fantasy value as a rookie.
Ming looks healthy in win over MemphisTuesday 10/7, 10:21 PM CT
Yao Ming had 10 points, nine rebounds and a block in 22 minutes of action in the preseason win over Memphis on Tuesday.

Our View: Yao was 6-for-6 from the line where he holds great fantasy value. He converted 85 percent of his 345 free throw attempts last season.
Conley looks good in openerTuesday 10/7, 10:19 PM CT
Mike Conley was 2-for-2 from behind the arc on his way to 13 points in 24 minutes in the Grizzlies' 93-96 loss on Tuesday night. He also managed seven rebounds in five assists in the preseason opener.

Our View: A big concern with Conley is his shot so it was nice to see it falling on Tuesday. He hit a mere 30 threes all of last season but should produce more in his sophomore campaign.
Artest produces in debutTuesday 10/7, 10:16 PM CT
Ron Artest made his debut with the Rockets in Tuesday night's 96-93 win over the Grizzlies. The forward finished with 15 points in 24 minutes. He had three three-pointers, two steals and an assist.

Our View: Artest should be an all-around producer for the Rockets this season. He is among the second tier of small forwards.
Warrick blocks four in lossTuesday 10/7, 10:13 PM CT
Hakim Warrick had an all-around performance in the Grizzlies 93-96 loss to Houston on Tuesday. The starter finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks while shootin 50 percent from the field.

Our View: He is battling veteran Antoine Walker and rookie Darrel Arthur for the power forward job. Warrick averaged nearly 16 points and 6.5 rebounds following the Gasol deal last season. He averaged just 0.45 blocks per game last season so it was a good sign to see his production in that department.
Wright shows why he may startTuesday 10/7, 10:08 PM CT
Antoine Wright finished off his preseason debut with nine points, four assists, and three steals as the Mavericks defeated the Wizards 108-82. Wright started the game at shooting guard.

Our View: It was a good 19 minute performance for the 24-year-old. He shot 4-for-4 from the field, passed well and played sound defense. appears to have an early advantage over veterans Jason Terry, Jerry Stackhouse and Eddie Jones for the starting job which would give him nice sleeper value. But even if he does win the job he will likely play less than 30 minutes per night.
Howard has solid preseason performance Tuesday 10/7, 10:04 PM CT
Josh Howard finished Tuesday night's win over the Wizards with 15 points, six rebounds, two steals and two assists in 26 minutes of action.

Our View: Howard is coming off a tumultuous five months and is no doubt looking forward to redeeming himself in the upcoming season.
Nowitzki remains sharpTuesday 10/7, 10:00 PM CT
Dirk Nowitzki poured in 17 points in 25 minutes in the Mavericks' 108-82 victory over the Wizards on Tuesday. He also contributed seven rebounds two assists and a block.

Our View: Dirk remains a legitimate first-round selection in fantasy drafts. As he grows more comfortable with Jason Kidd on the floor, expect his points per game to increase from the 23.6 points from a year ago.
Blatche takes over with Jamison outTuesday 10/7, 9:57 PM CT
Andray Blatche filled in nicely for the injured Brendan Haywood and Antawn Jamison in Tueday night's preseason opener against Dallas. The big man had 18 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block in 26 minutes.

Our View: The Wizards have always been very high on Blatche and if the injuries hold up, he will be a big part of the team this season.
Solomon scores 17 in winTuesday 10/7, 9:47 PM CT
Will Solomon had 17 points, four assists, two steals and six turnovers in 32 minutes of action as the Raptors 104-84 preseason debut on Tuesday.

Our View: Solomon probably won't see 30 minutes in any regular season unless Jose Calderon suffers an injury. However, it is worth noting that he appears to be the primary backup point guard in Toronto heading into the season.
O'Neal debuts with RaptorsTuesday 10/7, 9:12 PM CT
In his first game as a Raptor, Jermaine O'Neal started at center and posted 11 points and four rebounds in 19 minutes as the Raptors beat the Cavaliers 104-84.

Our View: It was a modest contribution in limited playing time for the 29-year-old. When healthy, he is among the better big men in the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately, that health has eluded him for the majority of the past four seasons.
Bargnani shows improvementTuesday 10/7, 9:09 PM CT
Andrea Bargnani's offseason progress has been well documented and he delivered in Tuesday's preseason opener. The Raptors won 104-84 over Cleveland and Bargnani contributed 15 points, eight rebounds, a steal, a three and a block in 25 minutes of action.

Our View: The Raptors set up a strict off-season program for Bargnani, that included the training he did with Jermaine O'Neal in Las Vegas, and several weeks working out in Treviso, Italy, all under the careful watch of Toronto's coaching staff. He needs to be more physical this season and improve on his 3.7 rebounding rate. He will have less pressure on him coming off the bench. He's a worthy bench selection in fantasy drafts, especially for owners who select the oft-injured O'Neal.
Ilgauskas paces CavsTuesday 10/7, 9:06 PM CT
Zydrunas Ilgauskas led all Cavaliers scorer in Tuesday's preseason opener against the Raptors. In 22 minutes of action, he finished with 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot.

Our View: Big Z has been a nice player for the better part of a decade but his minutes continue to dwindle as the Cavs have loaded up on front court players.
James plays just eight minutes in openerTuesday 10/7, 8:44 PM CT
The AP reports that LeBron James played just 8 minutes in the first quarter before he raised his hand for a substitute and coach Mike Brown pulled his superstar for the remainder of Cleveland's preseason debut. James missed his only three shots from the field, made one free throw and added two rebounds and two assists. The Raptors beat the Cavs 104 to 84.

Our View: The wear and tear on James is a major concern for the Cavaliers. He has had little time away from the floor since last season ended because of his commitment to USA Basketball. Brown intends to reduce James' playing time with the idea of keeping him as fresh as possible for the grinding, 82-game schedule and playoffs.
Boozer sits with sore hamstringTuesday 10/7, 8:35 PM CT
The AP reports that Carlos Boozer missed Tuesday night's preseason opener against the Los Angeles Lakers because of a sore hamstring. The All-Star said the injury was not serious. However, it is the same hamstring Boozer tore three years ago, limiting him to 33 games in the 2005-06 season. “Just a little sore,” Boozer told the Deseret News. “So, I’d rather be safe than sorry.”

Our View: If Boozer were to miss any time during the regular season, Paul Millsap would be worth acquiring. At this point, consider Boozer ready for another 80 games this year.
Anderson to start over Yi?Tuesday 10/7, 8:30 PM CT
The Nets' website reports that Ryan Anderson may start the preseason opener against Miami on Thursday. He has been bodying Yi Jianlian in the post and denying him the ball throughout training camp. Carter says simply he has been “just tremendous” in camp.

Our View: This is somewhat of a shocker to most as Anderson struggled in the Rocky Mountain Revue summer league. Anderson has a nice shot and an aggressive style, but it's hard to believe he would start in a deep Nets' frontcourt.
Dunleavy takes over Clippers' GM post Tuesday 10/7, 8:18 PM CT
The AP reports that Mike Dunleavy has replaced Elgin Baylor as the Clippers' general manager on Tuesday. The team did not specify a reason for Baylor’s departure.

Our View: Baylor’s tenure was littered with questionable decisions, especially in the draft. In the last decade alone, he spent first-round picks on mediocre talent, including Michael Olowokandi, Brian Skinner and Darius Miles. Olowokandi was the first overall selection in the 1998 draft.
Young has injured kneeTuesday 10/7, 8:15 PM CT
Nick Young missed Tuesday's preseason opener because of a sore right knee according to the Washington Post. He will be further evaluated on Wednesday.

Our View: Young had looked good in training camp and figured to earn a lot more minutes this season. At this point the injury is not considered serious. Regardless, he holds little fantasy value unless he were to overtake DeShawn Stevenson's starting job.
Jamison injures kneeTuesday 10/7, 8:13 PM CT
The Washington Post reports that Antawn Jamison went down clutching his right knee in the first quarter of the Wizards' preseason opener against the Mavericks. The knee appeared to buckle as Jamison closed out to defend Dirk Nowitzki. He rolled around on the court in obvious pain while grabbing the knee and had to be helped off to the lockeroom by teammates and trainer Eric Waters. Jamison was putting no pressure on the right leg as he left the floor. A team spokesman at first said the knee was sprained, but later changed the diagnosis to a less serious-sounding strain. Jamison will have an MRI and be evaluated on Wednesday.

Our View: Jamison was re-signed to a big dollar feal this offseason and his absence would certainly hamper the Wizards. He was one of the more productive forwards in fantasy basketball a season ago.
Haywood could miss entire seasonTuesday 10/7, 8:10 PM CT
The Washington Post reports that initial observations of Brendan Haywood's wrist injury have not been promising. He saw a specialist on Tuesday and was advised to undergo a surgical procedure that would require him to miss between four to six months. He will get a second opinion tomorrow.

Our View: This wouldn't be a huge blow to the Wizards who have centers Andray Blatche and Etan Thomas on the roster. Haywood had some fantasy value last season as a center off the bench, but obviously he would not hold any value should he undergo surgery.
Mayo's given the green lightTuesday 10/7, 7:55 PM CT
Coach Marc Iavaroni says that O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay are the only Grizzlies with the green light to shoot from beyond the perimeter, but that they will have to frequently get to the free throw line in order to keep that privilege, according to the Commercial Appeal.

Our View: The Grizzlies are expected to be an uptempo squad and everything is set up for Mayp to get up to 15 shots per game as a rookie. He'll likely struggle some with his shooting percentages but he should average well above 15 points as a rookie. All the workload will probably make him a prime candidate to hit the rookie wall at some point this season.
Mason looks capableTuesday 10/7, 7:33 PM CT
The Express News reports that Roger Mason Jr has played well in camp and will spend time at both guard positions this season.

Our View: Mason is entering his fifth NBA season, but didn't play in more than 60 games or average more than 12 minutes until last season in Washington. His hope is that, with the uptick in minutes he is likely to receive in San Antonio, he can finally establish himself as an NBA player. With Manu ginobili out, Mason could possibly see nearly 30 minutes per game in the first couple months.
Varejao has strained quadTuesday 10/7, 7:18 PM CT
The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that Anderson Varejao Varejao has a strained left quadriceps muscle.

Our View: Varejao has not been able to avoid nagging injuries throughout his brief career.
Pietrus starting at off-guardTuesday 10/7, 6:52 PM CT
Mickael Pietrus started at shooting guard for Orlando in Monday's 118-103 loss to the Hawks. He is battling Keith Bogans for the starting job. In 26 minutes, he accumulated nine points, two steals, two rebounds and no assists.

Our View: The stat line is mostly unimpressive but the thing to note is that he played more than twice as much as Bogans. With 30 minutes per game, the very athletic Pietrus should average a steal, block and a three per game to go with 14 points and six rebounds. That type of production is very solid for a likely bench selection. The biggest concern with him is that he is a career 66 percent free throw shooter.
Bibby poised for good seasonTuesday 10/7, 6:46 PM CT
Mike Bibby played just 21 minutes in the preseason opener but did some things worth noting. He had three steals and five of his 11 shots were three pointers. He had 11 points in four assists in abbreviated action.

Our View: Bibby hit over 150 threes in the two seasons prior to last and a return to that form increases his value. The young Hawks are exactly the type of team that Bibby can thrive with and Bibby is in his contract year. He should not be overlooked in fantasy drafts.
Horford collects four blocks in winTuesday 10/7, 6:42 PM CT
Al Horford had a solid preseason debut against Dwight Howard and the Magic on Monday. The second-year player played 22 minutes and contributed 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in the win.

Our View: The blocked shots are worth noting as he averaged just 0.9 per game as a rookie. His rookie production was similatr to Howard's rookie season and we could see a similar jump in production during his sophomore season. Horford should improve across the board, as will his team, and be a valuable fantasy commodity this season.
Miller getting plenty of runTuesday 10/7, 6:36 PM CT
Mike Miller led Minnesota in minutes played in their preseason opener. Over 26 minutes, the veteran missed just one shot as he scored 12 points and collected seven assists.

Our View: Rashad McCants and Corey Brewer also saw a lot of action and McCants finished with 22 points in 19 minutes. Miller can play multiple positions and should not see much reduction in his playing time despite Minnesota's depth on the wing.
Stoudemire pushed backTuesday 10/7, 6:33 PM CT
The Arizona Republic reports that in a Monday follow-up exam in Tucson, Amare Stoudemire's torn iris showed some irritation, and his return to workouts is now slated for Wednesday. He likely will miss at least the first four preseason games.

Our View: Stoudemire has said that he will play the remainder of his career with goggles to prevent this type of injury from ever occurring again. He is still a very good first round selection in fantasy leagues.
Turiaf leads Warriors in assistsTuesday 10/7, 6:30 PM CT
Ronny Turiaf had an impressive debut with his new team on Sunday when he tallied seven assists to go with seven rebounds, six points and a block in the Warriors' loss to New Orleans.

Our View: You certainly do not think of assists when you think of Turiaf, but in Don Nelson's run and gun offense, he just might be able to have an impact in the assist column this season. Still, to expect four assists a night out of the free agent signee might be a little too much.
Biedrins off to good startTuesday 10/7, 6:24 PM CT
Andris Biedrins was solid in his preseason debut for the Warriors on Sunday night. He was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and collected eight rebounds and nine points in just 19 minutes.

Our View: This is exactly what the big fella will do for you this season. He should be a lock for a double-double and shoot over 60 percent again this season. If he could increase his 1.2 blocks per game rate, he would have very good calue as a No. 2 center.
Simmons should startTuesday 10/7, 6:16 PM CT
The Newark Star-Ledger reports that Bobby Simmons will likely be the starter at small forward this season. He is battling Jarvis Hayes and Trenton Hassell for the job.

Our View: Simmons was the league's Most Improved Player in 2005 and he would like to earn the title a second time. He is a quality source of three-pointers and steals and his other numbers will not hurt you. He is one of three Nets who have averaged at least 10 points per game over their careers.
Wright starting preseason openerTuesday 10/7, 5:30 PM CT
The Dallas Morning News reports that Antoine Wright will start at shooting guard in Wednesday's preseason opener.

Our View: The 24-year-old appears to have an early advantage over veterans Jason Terry, Jerry Stackhouse and Eddie Jones for the starting job which would give him nice sleeper value. But even if he does win the job he will likely play less than 30 minutes per night.Keep an eye on his preseason production.
Rush sprains ankleTuesday 10/7, 5:09 PM CT
Shooting guard Kareem Rush suffered a sprained ankle during practice on Monday according to phillyBurbs.com.

Our View: No word yet on the severity of the injury but ankles can obviously be serious and lingering. He is the lone deep threat on Philadelphia so he should see 20-plus minutes again this season and should be good for over 100 threes once again.
Iverson could miss openerTuesday 10/7, 4:46 PM CT
Allen Iverson is still dealing with a knee contusion and could miss Friday night's preseason opener according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Iverson should be fine for the regular season and he has a history of toughing out nagging tinjuries like this. Don't expect it to slow him down this season as he will be playing for a new contract.
Young set to startTuesday 10/7, 4:40 PM CT
Thaddeus Young will start at small forward in Wednesday night's opener according to phillyBurbs.com.

Our View: If Young is deemed the starter this season, that significantly ups his fantasy value. He is very young but can be a good source of steals off your bench. He should produce nice percentages and solid but not spectacular production across the board.
Okafor misses another practiceTuesday 10/7, 4:29 PM CT
Emeka Okafor missed another practice on Monday according to the Charlotte Observer because of a sore back. The center will likely sit out Wednesday's preseason tilt with the Magic.

Our View: Okafor has had back issues going back to UConn. Although hr played 82 games a season ago, he had been injury prone in his first three campaigns. Although the injury has been deemed as not serious, keep his back and injury history in mind before you select him.
Optioin on Redick picked upTuesday 10/7, 3:11 PM CT
The Orlando Magic picked up the $2.8 million option on guard J.J. Redick's contract, according to the AP.

Our View: The Magic have had little use for their former first-round pick, and Redick had previously asked for a trade. This would have seemed like the perfect opportunity to rid themselves of each other, but maybe things will be different this season. Either that, or they think he has value as a potential trade chip.
Quinn sprains ankleTuesday 10/7, 2:19 PM CT
Heat guard Chris Quinn sprained his ankle on Sunday and missed the team's practice on Tuesday, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View: Quinn will battle for the starting point guard job with Mario Chalmers, Shaun Livingston and Marcus Banks.
Bynum may come off the benchTuesday 10/7, 11:43 AM CT
The Lakers are not happy at all with the play of Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum together on the floor, meaning Bynum could start the year coming off the bench, according to the Orange County Register. "Right now, they're very clumsy; they're not working well together. We've got a group that played very well together last year. There are some things that we have to discuss and see how long we drag this out," said Lakers coach Phil Jackson.

Our View: Lakers assistant Tex Winters also said that Bynum was not giving maximum effort during practice. This certainly does not bode well for fantasy owners who were hoping for a big year out of the young center. The good news is that there is still three weeks for him to right the ship before the games start to count.
Love scores 13Tuesday 10/7, 11:11 AM CT
Timberwolves rookie Kevin Love scored 13 points, snagged five boards, and blocked one shot in his team's 117-79 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Our View: The paper also reported that the young forward attempted to dunk a ball, only to see it get stuck in between the rim and the backboard.
Nash has no plans to retireTuesday 10/7, 10:33 AM CT
Phoenix point guard Steve Nash said that he has no plans to hang 'em up any time soon, and wants to play until 2012, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View: That would take Nash up to age 38, which is not usually an age you see many players excel at. There was already talk of him getting fewer minutes to keep his legs fresh this season, but he seems not to want anything to do with that.
McGrady healingTuesday 10/7, 10:24 AM CT
Tracy McGrady is pleased with how far his knee has come, and says that the shoulder that was operated on in the offseason is fine, according to the Houston Chronicle. "Every day there is improvement in my strength in my knee. I’m building up confidence in myself to be able to go out there and play on it," he said.

Our View: McGrady will probably not play in any games until the end of October. He is obviously useful for fantasy owners, but those who draft him will, as usual, need to be patient when he suffers an injury.
Woman arrested for stalking WaltonTuesday 10/7, 9:57 AM CT
A 34-year-old woman was arrested for stalking Lakers forward Luke Walton, according to the L.A. Daily News. This, after she pulled up next to him and simulated holding a gun in September, among other things. "He reported that the woman was using a Sharpie marker and writing on his car. She was following him. She'd park in front of his home and wait for him to leave and return. She told him that,`You are supposed to be the person I marry," said Manhattan Beach police Sgt. Steve Tobias.

Our View: Hopefully this woman gets the help that she clearly needs, and Walton can move on playing basketball.
Marbury okay with starting on benchTuesday 10/7, 9:35 AM CT
Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury said it would be fine with him to come off the bench should Chris Duhon win the starting job, according to the New York Post. "If the Knicks want me to come off the bench, that's what I'm going to do. I just want to win a championship in New York because we as New Yorkers deserve a chip," Marbury proclaimed.

Our View: We're not sure about that whole Knicks winning a championship talk, but it is nice that the organization has his permission to play who they think will help them the most.
Curry expects to startTuesday 10/7, 9:16 AM CT
Knicks center Eddy Curry said he expects to be the starter for the team at the position this season, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Curry is battling it out with David Lee and Zach Randolph for the job. He has missed practice due to a bacterial infection, but resumed playing this week.
Belinelli looking for consistencyTuesday 10/7, 8:56 AM CT
Warriors guard Marco Belinelli is a streaky shooter, as evidenced by him missing three shots before going on to hit five of his next eight on Sunday, and the team would like him to be more consistent, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "His body is in shape. He doesn't get fatigued. I play him almost every minute of every practice. It's just that he still makes too many mistakes," Warriors coach Don Nelson said.

Our View: Belinelli, the former 18th overall pick in the draft, averaged just 2.9 points per game last season in 7.3 minutes per game. His fantasy value is very low unless he suddenly starts seeing more minutes.
Turiaf to split timeTuesday 10/7, 8:52 AM CT
The Golden State Warriors will not play Ronny Turiaf and Andris Biedrins together, and instead will have them split time, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View: Turiaf was signed away from the Lakers to a big-money contract, and is expected to provide energy to the team, though that doesn't help fantasy owners any.
