Tyrus Thomas notched a double-double in Friday's 102-93 loss to the Pacers, with a team-high 15 points and 10 boards. He also recorded one steal and three blocks.

Our View: Thomas was a former lottery pick (fourth overall), and could earn a favorable number of minutes if he continues to perform well through the preseason. He could potentially be worthy of a late-round flier in deeper leagues.

T.J. Ford scored 18 points in Friday's 102-93 preseason win over the Bulls. He also registered five boards and five assists.

Dwight Howard generated a game-high 28 points and 10 boards in Friday's 88-63 exhibition win over CSKA Moscow. He also chipped in five steals, one assist and one block.

Caron Butler scored eight points with four rebounds and three assists in Friday's 71-60 loss to the Pistons. He also recorded a steal, but only shot 3-of-8 from the field.

Antawn Jamison told the media that he expects to play in the Wizards' season opener on October 29, according to the Washington Post. He is also aiming to play in the final two preseason games. He is recovering from a strained right knee.

Our View: Jamison's fantasy stock should go back up following this encouraging news. He averaged 21.4 points and 10.2 boards per game in 2007.

Jeff Foster reportedly agreed to terms on a contract extension with the Pacers, according to the AP. Terms were not disclosed.

Williams dealt to Dallas Friday 10/10, 4:47 PM CT
Shawne Williams has been dealt from the Pacers to the Mavericks in exchange for Eddie Jones and two second-round draft picks, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View: Williams fell out of favor in Indiana as he has a knack for finding trouble, and will not hold much fantasy value with Dallas while serving limited minutes per game.
Jones traded to Indiana Friday 10/10, 4:43 PM CT
Eddie Jones has been traded from Dallas to Indiana in exchange for Shawne Williams, according to the Dallas Morning News. Indiana will acquire two second round draft picks from Dallas as well.

Tony Battie fractured his left middle finger during Friday's shootaround, according to the Orlando Sentinel. He will miss tonight's exhibition against CSKA Moscow.

Our View: The team said he could have played if it was a regular season game. He is expected to return to practice Sunday and play with it wrapped. He holds little fantasy value as a reserve.
Anthony may miss gameFriday 10/10, 2:08 PM CT
It is possible that Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony will miss the team's first preseason game Friday due to a hand injury, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: Anthony injured a finger on his left (non-shooting) hand, but x-rays were negative. Fantasy owners should not worry about this, as not playing the first preseason contest is no reason to worry.

A sprained ankle is still bothering Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic, who did not play in the team's exhibition contest on Thursday, according to the L.A. Times.

Miller practicesFriday 10/10, 9:14 AM CT
Kings center Brad Miller, who had been battling a quad strain, returned to the team's practice on Thursday, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View: Miller is scheduled to play in the team's exhibition game on Friday. He is certainly a useful option for fantasy owners at center, having put up 13.4 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game last year.
Jackson doesn't want more time on floorFriday 10/10, 9:11 AM CT
With point guard Beno Udrih out, it has been difficult for veteran guard Bobby Jackson, who does not want to see increased minutes or practice time, according to the Sacramento Bee. "When Beno isn't practicing, it's tough on me. I'm out there trying to practice the whole practice and he isn't practicing, but I got through it," Jackson said.

Our View: Jackson is still a valuable role player, but not one who should be on the floor more than 20 minutes per night, thus making his fantasy value very low.
Udrih has strained hamstringFriday 10/10, 9:09 AM CT
Beno Udrih has a strained left hamstring and will miss the team's exhibition contest on Friday, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View: The Kings point guard played 32 minutes per game last season, and averaged modest totals - 12.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists. Not the type of numbers that set the fantasy world on fire.
Lee, Randolph playing well togetherFriday 10/10, 9:06 AM CT
Knicks big men David Lee and Zach Randolph seem to have found a certain chemistry while playing on the floor together, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Lee has the early edge on the starting center spot over Eddy Curry. He would seem to be a better fit for coach Mike D'Antoni's offense, and the fact that he and Randolph have gelled certainly helps.
Curry will debutFriday 10/10, 9:03 AM CT
Knicks center Eddy Curry will make his exhibition season debut for the New York Knicks on Friday, according to the New York Post.

Our View: Curry, who had been battling a bacterial infection, is not expected to start the game, but he will see some minutes behind David Lee and Zach Randolph.

Milwaukee point guard Luke Ridnour may play in the team's exhibition game Friday, as he returned to practice on Thursday after battling knee tendinitis, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Williams, Dowell waivedFriday 10/10, 8:12 AM CT
The Golden State Warriors released center Justin Williams and forward Dion Dowell, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View: Williams was signed as a free agent over the summer. The team must pare down it's roster to 15 players, and this move leaves them with 17.
Stuckey will be sixth manFriday 10/10, 7:59 AM CT
Rodney Stuckey will be the first man off the bench for the Detroit Pistons, and should play significant minutes, according to the Detroit Free-Press.

Our View: Stuckey put in 7.6 points per game last year in just 19 minutes of action per game. Expect that number, and his rebounding and assist totals to rise. Still, it may not be enough to make him worthy of a spot on fantasy rosters.
