Patrice Bergeron continues to progress in his recovery from last season's concussion as he played in a charity event last weekend, according to the Boston Herald. “It was good to get all the feeling back and it was a good first test, but I was feeling good before that. I was going there for fun, but also for another kind of practice for me to get ready for September.”
Our View: Bergeron could be a big time sleeper this year as a return to the 70-point level isn't out of the question if he is healthy. |

Petr Nedved will go to training camp with the New York Rangers strictly on a try-out basis, but his chances of making the team are slim, according to the New York Daily News. "I have to be realistic and I don't see a big chance," he said.
Our View: Nedved did not play in the NHL last season, and had just 12 points in 40 games in 2006-2007 with the Edmonton Oilers. |

Mats Sundin is seriously contemplating retirement, and has not yet begun to workout, an indication that he could hang 'em up, according to the Toronto Star.
Our View: Despite being 37 years of age, Sundin posted 78 points last season, so a number of teams are vying for his services, and fantasy players surely would like to see him continue on the ice. |
